Williams a Yell Leader

A 2016 Liberty High School graduate and cancer survivor has been elected Junior Yell Leader by the student body at Texas A&M University. Reid Williams of Devers is currently a sophomore member of the Aggie Corp of Cadets. He learned Friday night he will serve as Yell Leader during his junior year. Reid said, when he first arrived at Texas A&M in the Fall of 2016, he wasn’t planning on becoming a Yell Leader. In addition to leading the 12th Man in unified yells during sporting events and other school activities, Aggie Yell Leaders serve as ambassadors for Texas A&M University. While his duties as Junior Yell Leader don’t officially begin until the Fall, Reid Williams said he will get to serve in that capacity several times in coming months. As we said earlier, Reid Williams is a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer back in December 2015 when he was a senior at Liberty High School. Once again, Reid Williams has been elected Junior Yell Leader at Texas A&M University. His parents are Jamie and Amanda Williams of Devers.
