Armed Robberies in Hardin and Liberty

There has been yet another armed robbery here in Liberty County – the latest occurred Monday night in Hardin. According to Liberty County Sheriff’s Captain Ken DeFoor, the Valero gas station and convenience store on State Highway 146 in Hardin was robbed by two males around 9:45 p.m. Monday. Captain DeFoor said sheriff’s investigators are reviewing video and meeting with other local law enforcement agencies that are also investigating recent robberies. At last report, no description was available of the suspects in Monday night’s robbery. We have already reported Liberty Police Department is investigating two armed robberies from over the weekend. The first occurred early Friday morning at the JJs Chevron at the corner of FM 563 and Highway 90. The other weekend armed robbery in Liberty was at the Checks Into Cash – that was Saturday afternoon. We’ve also reported on the December armed robbery of the JJs Chevron on State Highway 321 at Linney Street in Dayton. Anyone with information on that December armed robbery on S.H. 321 is asked to call Dayton PD at 936-258-7621. Those with information on Friday’s armed robbery at JJs Chevron or Saturday’s robbery of Checks Into Cash – both on Highway 90 in Liberty – should call the Liberty Police Department at 936-336-5666. As for Monday night’s armed robbery of the Hardin Valero gas station, it is being investigated by Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. Tipsters can call the sheriff’s dispatch at 936-336-4500.
