Friday Football 11 03 17

It’s the next to last week of the high school football regular season before playoffs begin for those teams advancing to post season. Liberty, Dayton, Hardin and Hull-Daisetta are all in action tonight while Barbers Hill has the week off. Next week, both Liberty and Dayton have a bye or open week – that’s the final week of the season, so tonight’s games are the final regular season contests for both teams. Liberty has already secured a playoff berth while Dayton’s season comes to an end tonight. As for Dayton, the 2-6 Broncos are home facing the 1-6 Caney Creek Panthers. Daytonis 2-5 in District 21-5A while their opponents are 0-6. Kickoff is 7 p.m.in Bronco Stadium. For those who can’t be there, both KSHN and kshn.com will have that contest starting about 6:50 tonight with the Broncos pre-game featuring Larry Wadzeck. Turning to Class 4-A Liberty, the 7-1 Panthers are home versus the number-one, state-ranked West Orange Stark Mustangs at 6-0. The Panthers are 3-0 in District 12-4A while the Mustangs are 2-0. Liberty’s pre-game showairs about 10 minutes prior to their7:30 kickoff from Memorial Stadium here in Liberty. Once the Panthers broadcast begins here on FM 99.9, with our split-channel sports, Liberty fans will need to turn their stereo radio balance control to the left while Bronco supporters can hear that Dayton-Caney Creek contest on the right side. For those without a balance control, you can also disconnect the left or right stereo speaker. Take note - no balance control adjustment is needed for online listeners who use the Teamline link at the bottom of our homepage at kshn.com. Just click on the team logo to select the game of your choice from the five we broadcast online. Also on kshn.com tonight are the 4-4 Hardin Hornets hosting the 3-4 Anahuac Panthers. Both teams are 0-3 in District 12-3A. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.in Hornet Stadium. Join Gideon Watson for that one. Also on kshn.com tonight are the 3-4 Hull-Daisetta Bobcats at home versus the Burkeville Mustangs at 0-6 overall. The Bobcats are 2-1 in District 12-2A while Burkeville is 0-3. Kickoff in that one is at 7 tonight from Bobcat Stadium with Dennis Warren on play-by-play. As we said earlier in this report, the 5-2 Barbers Eagles have the week off. Once more, kshn.com is your home for all this season’s Dayton, Liberty, Hardin, Hull-Daisetta and Barbers Hill games. On kshn.com, just look for your team’s logo under the word Teamline, at the bottom of our homepage. Take note, it’s a little different for football games only. Do not click on listen live on our website – instead, click on the team logo of your choice. Those listening to Liberty and Dayton here on FM 99.9 – remember - Panther fans should tune your stereo balance control to the left while Dayton supporters can listen to the Broncos on the right side. Because of the nature of split channel for Liberty and Dayton games, the online broadcast on our website of those contests will have a superior sound without any bleed-over that may be experienced on-air. Repeating, the Dayton and Hull-Daisetta games both kick off tonight at 7. Liberty and Hardin start at 7:30. Again, Barbers Hill has this week off.
