TVE Scholarships

Here’s an important message for high school seniors in Liberty and Chambers counties. Trinity Valley Exposition Fair and Rodeo is now accepting 2018 scholarship applications. This year, TVE awarded $25,000 in scholarships. Students who reside or attend any school in Liberty or Chambers counties and who will be graduating by the end of the Spring semester are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, applicants must have participated in a TVE competition for at least one year. That includes the livestock show, public speaking contest, home economics or other activities approved by the TVE board. Applicants must also be a member in good standing of either the Texas FFA or Texas 4-H. A full detailed description of all the requirements is listed on the scholarship application. The TVE Fair and Rodeo has been a supporter of the western lifestyle and continues to promote their mission through the scholarship program. All applicants will be judged on their involvement with TVE and the community plus their 4-H/FFA participation. An interview with all individual applicants is scheduled for January 13, 2018, at the TVE fairgrounds. There will be no make-up times or other dates for the interview, and that interview will count for 25 percent of each applicant’s overall score. If a student is unable to make that interview, points will be deducted from their score. Again, TVE is now accepting scholarship applications from students in Libertyand Chambers counties. All applications must be mailed and postmarked by December 20. No late or hand-delivered applications will be accepted. Applications are available at the TVE Fair office on FM 563 or online at Mail completed applications to TVE, P.O. Box 9047, Liberty, Texas77575, attention Scholarship Committee.
