Justin Johnston Update
Johnston Update: The family of Liberty County Pct. #1 Constable Justin Johnston, who was critically injured last week when he was struck by a vehicle while working a traffic control assignment, tells us that he is awake and alert but he does require a great deal of rest and sleep. We learned from Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader that Johnston’s doctors wanted him up as soon as possible. So when he reached a higher level of alertness physical therapists were sent to his room at Memorial Hermann in Houston. They got Constable Johnston on his feet and with their help he was able to take a few steps around his room. As we reported earlier he was removed from the critical condition status late last week and is no longer in intensive care. Prayer Service: Several local pastors, law enforcement officers, family members and friends of Precinct #1 Constable Justin Johnston gathered at Liberty’s St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church on Sunday for a prayer service for the crucially injured elected official. Closing out the remarks at last Sunday’s prayer service for injured County Constable Justin Johnston, were those from Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader, whose prayer offered thanks for everyone involved in responding to the call of an officer down.
