Roll Over Accident
A one-vehicle accident early Sunday morning sent an 18-year-old woman to a Houstonhospital via air ambulance. According to information from the Liberty police and fire departments, a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Dalton Underwood was southbound on State Highway146 near FM 1011 around 1:20 a.m.Sunday when the driver lost control and overcorrected. That’s when the truck rolled, ejecting the passenger, identified as 18-year-old Amber Smith with an Oklahoma address. City of Liberty EMS transported Ms. Smith to the helipad next to the fire station on Lakeland Drive. From there, she was taken by LifeFlight air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, Dalton Underwood, was transported by a City of Liberty EMS ground ambulance to Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. Again, that one-vehicle, rollover accident occurred early yesterday morning on State Highway146, just north of FM 1011.
