Weather Event Expected

AUDIO:

Starting this afternoon Meteorologist at the National Weather Service are predicting severe weather for Liberty and surrounding areas. National Weather Service Meteorologist Tim Cady told kshn.com what we should expect.

Tim Cady NWS 1

Tim Cady said it is important to have multiple ways to receive National Weather Service forecast. Mr. Cady said the front will push through our area fast, and the National Weather service does not expect this front to produce flash flooding. A reminder, about the difference between a Watch and a Warning. The National Weather Service says a Watchis used when the risk of a hazardous weather or rain event has increased significantly, but its occurrence, location, and/or timing is still uncertain. It is intended to provide enough lead time so that those who need to set their plans in motion can do so. When a Warning is issued by the National Weather Service hazardous weather or rain event is occurring, is imminent, or has a very high probability of occurring. A warning is used for conditions posing a threat to life or property. Stay with kshn.com for up to date weather information.
