Liberty hosting shredding, recycling event Saturday

Here’s a reminder to get together sensitive documents and unwanted electronics. The next City of Liberty free document shredding and electronics recycling event is this Saturday May 11th. It’s at the Liberty City Hall Parking Lot starting at 9 a.m. There will be commercial shredding of sensitive documents like tax records and financial statements. The shredding is done by licensed and bonded professionals who provide this service regularly for companies handling sensitive documents.  Also, free recycling of unwanted or outdated electronics equipment will be offered again. That includes computers, keyboards, cell phones, computer monitors, modems and cabling. The electronics recycling does not include appliances such as TVs or microwaves. As always, the Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event is free to anyone, not just city of Liberty residents. It’s this Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon or until the trucks fill up. Everyone is urged to arrive early. Those companies doing the shredding and recycling are bonded, assuring all documents and electronic devices are properly and safely disposed of.  Once again, it’s all free. For more information, call Liberty City Hall at 936 336 3684.
