Tomorrow is deadline to apply for open Liberty council seat

We have reported the Liberty City Council is accepting applications for someone to fill a city council seat left vacant by the resignation of Paul Glazener. The deadline for qualified city of Liberty citizens to apply is 5 p.m. tomorrow – Wednesday November 28th. Liberty Council members’ responsibilities include representing the community, enacting policy and passing local ordinances, and promoting public safety. The individual selected will serve the remainder of Paul Glazener’s term on council, from now until May 2020. To date, the city has received 8 applications from those interested in serving on Liberty City Council. All applications must be submitted to Liberty City Secretary Dianne Tidwell by 5 p.m. on November 28th. Applications are available at Liberty City Hall, 1829 Sam Houston and on the city’s web site.
