Nomination deadline Wednesday for Hardin Citizen of the Year

A deadline reminder - Hardin Helping Hands is accepting nominations through tomorrow (Wednesday) for their 2018 Citizen of the Year Award. This Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who has performed outstanding service or made exceptional voluntary contributions to the Hardin community. Anyone may nominate someone who they feel meets the criteria of the award. When selecting a recipient for this community recognition, the selection committee looks for an individualwho resides within the Hardin Independent School District and meets one or more of thefollowing criteria: continually gives his or her time and dedicates their talents to the betterment of the community; voluntarily serves on either a service program, school committee or youth program; and/or offers his or her expertise and guidance. Other criteria include giving leadership and vision to a community or service project; providing organizational skills and assisting in the achievement of important goals; and/or performing a voluntary service that has advanced or helped the quality of life in the Hardin community. If you have a friend, neighbor or relative you feel meets one or more of the criteria we have listed, feel free to complete a nomination form. Those forms and additionalinformation may be obtained by emailing HardinHelpingHands@gmail.com. Those forms are also available at First Liberty National Bank of Hardin, Hardin Bank, Hardin Feed & More, Los Compadres of Hardin; plus Maci’s Feed and Supply. Again, tomorrow is the deadline to nominate someone for this Hardin Citizen of the Year recognition. The recipient of the award will not be made aware that they have been selected until the award ceremony set for December 4 during the Fourth Annual Hardin Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
