Early voting continues at record pace

With just a few days left in the early voting period for the November 6th General Election, Liberty County voter turnout continues to be historically high. During the first five full days of early voting plus special early voting on Sunday, a total of 9,334 Liberty voters have cast ballots early. Informed sources agree this is a record high turnout for the same early voting period in previous mid-term elections. Early voting in Liberty County is at the Jack Hartel Community Building, 318 San Jacinto Street in Liberty. Also, vote early at the Cleveland Civic Center, 210 Peach Avenue in Cleveland as well as at the Dayton Community Center at 801 South Cleveland St. in Dayton. Early voting is also at the Hardin City Hall, 142 CR 2010 in Hardin. Vote early today through Friday at any of those four locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Voters are reminded they will need an approved photo ID in order to vote early or on Election Day, November 6th.  Also, early ballots can be cast at any of the four early voting locations, regardless of what voting box the voter is normally assigned to. For voting information, call the Liberty County Clerk’s Office in Liberty at 936-336-4670 or in Cleveland at 281 593 8413.
