Local football teams in action tonight

It’s week 3 of the high school gridiron season, and KSHN and/or kshn.com will bring you the action tonight from the Liberty, Dayton, Hardin, Hull-Daisetta and Barbers Hill games. Let’s start with the 0-2 Dayton Broncos. They are on the road facing the 1-1 Porter Spartans at Texan Drive Stadium in New Caney. Please note, this week’s Dayton game kicks off at 7 p.m. Both KSHN and kshn.com will have that non-district contest starting about 6:50 tonight with the pre-game featuring Larry Wadzeck. Moving on to 2-0 Liberty, it’s the first home game for the Panthers who host the Livingston Lions at 0-2. Kickoff in that non-district matchup is 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Stadium in Liberty. The Panthers pre-game show with Joe Roberts, Neil Thornton and Ross Norwood airs about 10 minutes prior to game time. Whenthe Liberty broadcast begins here on FM 99.9, with split-channel sports, Panther fans will need to turn their stereo radio balance control all the way to the left while Bronco supporters can hear that Dayton-Porter contest on the right side or you can disconnect the left or right stereo speaker. For split channel sports, be certain your radio is in stereo. Take note - no adjustment is needed for online listeners who use the Teamline link at the bottom of our homepage - kshn.com. There you can click on the team logo above the school name to select the game of your choice from the five we broadcast online. Also on kshn.com tonight are the 2-0 Hardin Hornets hosting the KIPP Sunnyside Senators at 0-2. Kickoff for that one is 7:30 p.m. in Hornet Stadium. kshn.com will have that non-district action beginning about 7:20. Join Dwight Pruitt for that one. Another non-district contest tonight on kshn.com will be the 2-0 Hull-Daisetta Bobcats at home versus the Sabine Pass Sharks at 0-1. Join Dennis Warren on play-by-play about 10 minutes ahead of that 7:30 kickoff at Bobcat Stadium in Daisetta.  Also online at kshn.com are the Barbers Hill Eagles hosting the Kingwood Park Panthers. Both teams enter that non-district contest at 1-1. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Stadium in Mont Belvieu. On our website, click on the Eagle logo to hear Quinton Carter and company on the call. Again, kshn.com is your home for all this season’s Dayton, Liberty, Hardin, Hull-Daisetta and Barbers Hill football games. At kshn.com, just look for your team’s logo under the word Teamline at the bottom of our homepage. Special note, our website is a little different for football games only. Do not click on “listen live” on our website – for our five online football games, click on the team logo of your choice. Those listening to Liberty and/or Dayton here on FM 99.9 – Panther fans should tune the stereo balance control all the way to the left while Dayton supporters can listen to the Broncos on the right speaker of their stereo radio. Please note - because of the nature of split channel on FM 99.9 for Liberty and Dayton games, the online kshn.com broadcast of those contests will have a superior sound without any bleed-over that may be experienced on-air. Remember, Dayton kicks off at 7 o’clock tonight while Liberty, Barbers Hill, Hardin and Hull-Daisetta all get under way a 7:30.
