Saturday's motorcycle ride to benefit foster children

It’s a communitywide motorcycle ride for a worthy cause. The Hardin Chapter of the San Jacinto High Rollers Motorcycle Club is holding a “Kick Stands Up for Kids” ride, and it’s tomorrow (Saturday) to benefit local foster children. We reported that ride was scheduled for last month, but it was postponed due to weather. Now it’s tomorrow – rain or shine. Proceeds go to the Rainbow Room, an emergency resource supply space managed by the Liberty County CPS Advisory Board. Shaun Davis is president of the San Jacinto High Rollers MC Hardin Chapter. Known as “San Jacinto High Roller Craftsman”, he invites all of the area’s motorcycle riders to tomorrow’s law enforcement escorted fund raising event. Bikers will start gathering around 9 a.m. at the B&S Club, 304 North Church Street in Dayton. Kickstands go up at 10:30 for the ride. The group will return to the B&S Club a little after noon. Cost is $20 per rider plus $10 for a passenger. Once back at the club, there will be food, drinks and a silent auction. You can get a barbecue sandwich, chips and drink for $8 or a sausage on a stick for $3.  You do not have to be on a motorcycle to participate. Again, all proceeds from tomorrow’s ride benefit the Liberty County CPS Advisory Board’s Rainbow Room – that’s an emergency supply resource for the area’s foster children.
