New Water Well: We have reported on a number of major infrastructure projects the City of Liberty has undertaken in the last few of years. Next up is a new water well, with water tower, and lift station. Tom Warner, City Manager for the City of Liberty, said on a recent kshn.com Party Line program, the site for the new well is across from Wal-Mart on the 146 Bypass. Mr. Warner said a new water tower will be built by the well along with a lift station. Funding will come in the form of a low interest loan from the Texas Water Development Board. The city has already purchased the by-pass property for this project and have completed the preliminary engineering study. Mr. Warner said construction should begin in the next 9-12 months.
