Volume 34, No. 175 Friday, October 18, 2019 ************************************************ TVE Youth Livestock Auction: Many call this the biggest day at the TVE Fair and Rodeo – it’s payday for the kids exhibiting in this year’s youth livestock show. The livestock auction is today at noon in the 4,000 seat arena at the fairgrounds on FM 563. First though, comes the buyer’s luncheon at 11 am in the pavilion. KSHN.COM will broadcast the Grand and Reserve Champion portion of the TVE Youth Livestock Sale. Auctioneer Brady Hanson will pound the gavel for bidding at noon. The freezer sale will follow today’s auction. ************************************************ TVE Fair & Rodeo: The 110th Trinity Valley Exposition Fair and Rodeo continues today and tomorrow. The carnival cranks up at 6 pm today and continues until midnight. Tomorrow those rides are spinning from 11 am to midnight. The PRCA rodeo starts at 7:30 both days. Following each rodeo, there’s a free dance under the covered pavilion beside the arena. Tonight’s dance features Jamie Bergeron while Saturday’s live music is provided by Junior Gordan. On KSHN.COM, you’ll be able to listen to your choice of 5 local games. The 5A Barbers Hill Eagles 3-0 in District Play head to Vidor to take on the 2-1 Pirates. That game kicks of at 7:30. Also 5A, the Dayton Broncos at 0-3 on the district season head to Port Neches Groves who are 2-1 in district play. The Broncos vs. Indians game also kicks off 7:30. Hamshire Fannett Longhorns come to Liberty’s Memorial Stadium with a 1-0 record in district to take on the Panthers who have no wins in district play. Kick off 7:30. 2-1 Oranglefield comes to 1-2 Hardin’s house of sting, kick off 7:30. Deweyville 0-1 is in Daisetta to take on the 0-1 Bobcats of Hull Daisetta. Saturday morning, catch a video of Barbers Hill, Dayton and Liberty, also on KSHN.COM. ************************************************ Oversized Load: The Texas Department of Transportation is warning of an oversized heavy transport that will be making its way through Chambers County over the weekend. The haul will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and is expected to last until the morning hours of Saturday. The load will park near I10 at fm 3180, until continuing the move beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday night. During this time, SH 146 and FM 565 intersection will be closed for an hour on October 18 s the transport passes. October 19, Saturday, traffic will continue on I10 throughout the move buy may experience delays. Other roadways will be closed as the transport is passing. Again, this oversized load is moving through Chambers County Friday and Saturday evening.
