****************************************************Dayton Property Tax: Property owners in the City of Dayton may get a little relief on their property taxes next year. If approved the tax rate would drop from $0.6821 to $0.6645 per $100 of assessed property. However, with valuations on the rise, property owners may not see a decrease despite the City’s efforts to pass on savings to residents. Public hearings are Sept. 9 and 16.
Sheriff Thanks: Liberty Co. Sheriff Rader recently expressed his gratitude to local business owner, Joseph Leal, and his employees at Big Frank’s Barbecue in Liberty. The Sheriff said he wanted to thank everybody that supports law enforcement, and specifically one business has been there every time the SO needed them. The LCSO wanted to show their gratitude to Big Frank’s BBQ for the many occasions that business has supplied food during extended searches with Texas EquuSearch. Big Frank’s has often brought food to the Sheriff’s Office so deputies can eat on the go. Sheriff Bobby Rader showed his appreciation by having a plaque made and presented it recently to store owner Joseph Leal and his employees for all that they have done for the SO.
