This past weekend’s 29th Annual Burnham Classic has once again been hailed a success. No word on this year’s fundraising total, but in the storied history of the event, over half a million dollars has been raised to benefit the physically and mentally challenged of Liberty County through Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare. That state agency serves Liberty, Walker and Montgomery counties, but all the money raised by the Burnham Classic stays right here to help clients in south Liberty County. In this year’s Burnham Classic it was Chris Rieve and Kyle Jerome topping the field in the Championship Flight at the end of two days of golf. In the Presidential Flight of tourney competitors, Troy Biggs and Robert Howell claimed first place. First Flight champions were Joe Callaway and Scott Callaway. Second Flight, Bobby Dunn and Bob Shirley topped the field. Third Flight winners were the duo of Trent Woerner and Kelby Tanton Fourth Flight went to Mike Bishop and Kevin Brown.
