Water Rescue: Liberty firefighters rescued a man from the Trinity River near the Hwy. 90 bridge Monday afternoon. Fire Chief Brian Hurst said the report came in as a male floating in the river. The fire department’s rescue boat was launched from the north side of the bridge near Riverside Seafood. Firefighters located the man downstream and were able to pull him to safety. He was transported by Liberty EMS to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center. Sometime later, we learned the rescued man is Henry Armstrong, 41, a homeless person from the Dayton area.
