Crossroads: The Dayton Enhancement Committee continues to make improvements at The Crossroads on U.S. 90, next to Jack in the Box, in Dayton. That’s the site of the popular Food Truck Friday. Vintage car shows and a farmer’s market are also held there. There is a flag disposal box and a LED sign that electronically tells of community events. Soon, it will have an engraved brick area honoring Dayton first-responders and civil servants. Recently, the water tank reproduction, like those used a century ago by steam engines, was moved from the west side of town to The Crossroads. That smaller tank will soon be replaced on the western edge of Dayton with a much larger tank.
