Bridgehaven Balloon Releases: Bridgehaven Children’s Advocacy Center is planning two balloon releases for April – one in Liberty County and the other in Chambers County. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Bridgehaven Children’s Advocacy Center is working to get the word out that child abuse is an issue in both Liberty and Chambers counties. The first balloon release is set for Tuesday, April 9, at 10 a.m. in front of the Chambers County Courthouse. Then, on Thursday, April, 11, at 6 p.m. Bridgehaven will be at the Vara Faye Daniel Pavilion on the grounds of Liberty City Hall. That one will be part of the annual Candlelight Vigil honoring victims of crime and child abuse. During both events, Bridgehaven will release 382 balloons to signify and remember each of the children they served in the two counties last year.
