Shooting: Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting early Sunday morning that sent a Dayton teen to the hospital. Liberty County Sheriffs Department Captain Ken DeFoor said deputies were called to a residence on CR # 677 in the West Woodland Hills Subdivision. There they found 18-year-old Dallas Marsh suffering from a gun-shot wound to the face. Witnesses said Marsh was a passenger in a car with two other people when they encountered another vehicle on CR #6763. Anyone with information is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department at 936-336-4500 or Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867. Those providing information can remain anonymous. Captain DeFoor said Dallas Marsh was airlifted to a Houston Hospital for treatment of what is now thought to be a non-life threatening gun-shot wound to the head.

Hardin ISD: The Liberty County Pct 3 Constable’s Office, Mark Davison, and the Hardin Independent School District are investigating an incident involving three reported “kill lists”. The constables’ office reports there was no immediate or credible threat found. On Wednesday, November 28, five students in a Hardin Junior High School class jokingly asked each other who they would kill first in the classroom. The investigation determined the 7th graders were not aware of the gravity and seriousness in compiling such a list, even in a joking manner. The students have been suspended from school. All investigative matters have been submitted to the Liberty County Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges.
