Goodman Contract: At their meeting on Monday July 16th, Dayton Council heard a presentation from the Goodman Company. Dayton City Manager Theo Melancon said the firm has a great track record in locating and procuring infrastructure funding for their clients. He said the Goodman Company can bring the city millions in infrastructure money from national and state grant funds plus other resources more efficiently than the city could on its own. Dayton Council members agreed to contract with the Goodman Company. Dayton City Manager Theo Melancon said City Council is still exploring whether the $187,000 cost of contracting with Goodman could be shared with the Dayton Community Development Corporation.
