Fatality Accident: Sean O’Keefe of Mont Belvieu died last Wednesday after reportedly falling off the back of a car and then being struck by another vehicle. The 35-year-old was the husband of Dayton City Secretary Shannon O’Keefe. The Houston Chronicle newspaper reported the couple had allegedly been arguing at their home in the Cottonwood Subdivision in Mont Belvieu. In an attempt to diffuse the situation, Shannon O’Keefe reportedly got into her vehicle to leave. The newspaper quoted a DPS official who said Sean jumped onto the back of his wife’s car, hanging on while she drove down the roadway. According to the DPS report, Sean O’Keefe lost his grip, fell off the car and was then struck and killed by another vehicle. His wife has worked for the City of Dayton for about eight months and been promoted once.
