DISD Investigation: An elementary student with a BB gun prompted an investigation at the Dayton school district. According to Executive Director of Student Services Travis Young, on Monday administrators at Richter Elementary school were told a student had a plastic BB gun pistol on campus. An investigation found the child had shot a wall in a secluded area of the campus, but no students or employees were harmed. Dayton ISD officials say the student has received the maximum consequences deemed by their student code of conduct. No charges were filed, and the issue has been handled internally.
