Shooting: Liberty police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting, and they are asking for the public’s help finding the person or persons responsible for shooting a Liberty resident multiple times. At this point in their investigation, police are not identifying the 29-year-old male victim who was transported to a Houston hospital by air ambulance with what are thought to be non life-threatening injuries. Police say the shooting occurred Saturday at the corner of Hawthorne and Edgewood streets. However, the victim was able to drive away. Police located him a short time later inside his vehicle at Bowie Street and Grand Avenue. Reportedly the shooting victim has been uncooperative with police and refuses to identify the shooter. Anyone with information on Saturday’s shooting is asked to call the Liberty Police Department at 936-336-5666.
