Officer Indicted: A Liberty County grand jury has indicted a law enforcement officer for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Holly Marie Matlock, 35, is accused of shooting her husband at their Raywood home back on May 29. At the time, Matlock was an officer with Conroe ISD. Liberty County Sheriff Bobby Rader said, when deputies arrived at the couple’s home, they found the victim, James Matlock, in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken by an air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was treated and released. The ensuing investigation determined Holly Matlock returned home from her job and began arguing with her son. The sheriff reports that disagreement led to Holly and her husband getting into a physical altercation. The officer is accused of using her service weapon to shoot her husband. At last report, Holly Matlock remains in Liberty County jail with bail set at $50,000.
