That’s a decrease of 3 students from the same time last year. Hardin, Tarkington and Hull-Daisetta all saw a small decrease in numbers while Devers was up one student from last year.

On Tuesday, deputies from the Precinct 4 constable’s office served a warrant with assistance from Dayton PD and the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect, 54-year-old Rita Hutchins Bennett of Dayton, was arrested, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance within a drug-free zone. That is a third-degree felony.
