KSHN Tower Move: KSHN radio has reported several times about major changes and upgrades to our broadcast transmitter location east of Devers. Now it is time to tell you that move will begin taking place by today. At that time, our transmitter will be shut down, and we will go off the air at FM 99.9 for the remainder of the move, hopefully three days or less. However, we will continue broadcasting on our website at www.kshn.com and on most smart phones through the free TuneIn Radio app.

Liberty Code Enforcement: In addition to issuing building permits and performing building inspections, it is the job of the Liberty City Building and Code Enforcement Department to undertake condemnation proceedings for structures that have reached the point of being unsightly and unsafe. Samantha Johnson is Liberty’s code enforcement officer. She said, since the first of the year, the city has been pursuing the condemnation and demolition of roughly 30 separate structures in the city limits. As for those residents in Liberty whose yards are littered with construction debris, Ms. Johnson said that type of material will not be picked with regular solid waste service. The city or the property owner can make specific arrangements with the city’s garbage service, L.T.s of Dayton, to pick up that kind of debris. If you have questions about building code enforcement in the City of Liberty, call 936-336-3684.
