The come-and-go events are also set for Tuesday, July 25, from 2 to 7 p.m. and then again Thursday, August 3, from 1 to 6 p.m., also at Dayton High School. DISD Executive Director of Technology Suzanne Chachere said all returning students must provide residency verification at one of these three summer Proof of Residency events. Parents will need to bring a driver’s license and a current utility bill that is in their name and shows the home or apartment’s address. Each event will also include special hours for those who need vaccinations. City of Liberty Projects: There are a number of construction projects either under way now or coming soon in the City of Liberty. In addition to electrical distribution system upgrades, sinkhole repairs and improvements to the city’s main drainage ditches, Liberty City Manager Gary Broz said work is being done to fix longtime drainage issues at Liberty Municipal Airport. A Texas Department of Transportation grant will cover the majority of the cost of draining away standing water between the airport’s runway and aircraft taxiway. Another city project is to resurface the paved walking trail at Liberty Municipal Park. Mr. Broz said bids on the Liberty Community Development Corporation’s resurfacing work on the popular 2.3 mile walking trail at the city park were due this past week.
