TVE: The Trinity Valley Exposition 12 member volunteer board, responsible for all things TVE, limits their members to two three year terms. That rule requires some long time board members to step down. TVE Board President Phil Fitzgerald said with Robbie Herrington, Lynn Ayers and James Bricker leaving the board, the organization’s leadership welcomes three new members and some new officers for the executive committee, Stoney Burke, Jennifer Parker and Harvey Sjolander now assume those roles.

Hurricane Prep: Hurricane season begins Thursday, June 1, and continues through November 30. Local State Farm Insurance Agent Victor Barranco said insurance companies generally will not write any new coverage or make any change to existing coverage in Texas whenever a named storm or tropical disturbance enters or even threatens the Gulf of Mexico. That includes property and casualty insurance for things like homes and vehicles. Mr. Barranco said the writing of that coverage resumes when the threat has ended. Stamp-Out: The Annual National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp-Out Hunger” Food Drive is coming up this Saturday. The food drive is a nationwide effort but all of the food donated goes to local food banks. Just collect and bag healthy non perishable food items, place the donations by your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up and deliver to local food pantries.
