Parker Park Rededication: The City of Dayton held a rededication ceremony Saturday for the John William Parker and Emma Blake Parker Children’s Park on North Winfree Street. Best known as simply “Parker Park”, the small neighborhood city park has undergone about $160,000 in renovations and additions. That work began slightly more than a year ago, initially as a restoration project when water well drilling near the park resulted in significant damage to the Winfree Street park area. There are several new additions including a covered basketball court and a covered party area among others.
