Body Discovered: Liberty County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered yesterday morning. Captain Ken DeFoor said the body was discovered by the caretaker of an abandoned church on FM 1008 in Kenefick. JP Pct 4 Larry Wilburn held an inquest and ordered an autopsy. Captain DeFoor said the body was that of a white woman, but identification was not possible because of the body’s decomposition. Investigators hope to learn more about the woman’s identification and cause of death when the autopsy is complete. Anyone with information is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at 936-336-4500.
