Death Benefits: Andy Hardwick at the Houston Social Security Office said the question of survivor’s benefits through Supplemental Security Income depends on whether the deceased person was receiving SSI or getting what is called SSDI or Social Security Disability Income. Hardwick said if you are receiving benefits through your spouse and they should die, the benefits should continue. If you have questions on any aspect of social security, link safely to the social security web site from kshn.com. You can also call the Beaumont Office at 866-613-2864 or the nationwide number at 800-772-1213.
