FLNB in Hardin: For several years, First Liberty National Bank has had an ATM machine at the corner of FM 834 and S.H. 146 in fast-growing downtown Hardin. When we did the original report several years ago, FLNB announced plans for a full-service, fully-staffed branch at that location. A modular building is now on site, and plans are for a complete restoration and redecoration of that building. FLNB President and Chief Executive Officer Kelly Stretcher says you can expect their full-service bank in Hardin to be open around May 1st.

Entergy: The explosion of smart phone technology means that getting emergency information out to those who need it has become easier. For example, Entergy Texas now has a new way for their customers to receive power outage information on their phone. Entergy’s local Customer Service Manager Pam Williams said, once registered, customers will get texts on the nature and estimated length of outages that impact them. Entergy is in the midst of a customer service upgrade. That means all of their customers will soon be assigned new account numbers. Be sure to wait for your new account number before you text R-E-G- then your new Entergy account number, and your zip code. Text this information to '368-374’ to sign up for those emergency texts. Find out more on the company’s website at www.entergytexas.com.
