Missing Girl Found: The Liberty County Sheriffs Department along with Texas Equusearch, the Tarkington Prairie Volunteer Fire Department and others spent several hours searching the wooded areas and ponds in the Davis Hill Subdivision in mid Liberty County Tuesday night. They were searching for 16-year-old Tera Jo Schubert after it was reported she had not returned from her nightly jog. She was located about 28 miles from home, at the house of a friend in the Daisetta area. Tera Schubert was returned home safe and sound around 4 a.m. on Wednesday.


Hardin Bond Election: Hardin ISD trustees are asking voters to approve a $16.8 million bond package to build both a new elementary school and new career and vocational building. The district is holding several public meetings to provide information about the bond proposal. One of those is tonight at 7 in Moss Hill Pentecostal Church. The next two will be Thursday, April 17 - one at 5 and another at 7 p.m. - both in the Hardin Elementary cafeteria. The final public meeting will be Thursday, April 24th, at North Main Baptist Church at 7 p.m. District officials will be on the KSHN Partyline this Monday at 8:30 a.m.


Rendition Forms: Business owners are reminded that this coming Tuesday, April 15, is the deadline to file property tax renditions with their county appraisal districts. Liberty County Chief Appraiser Alan D. Conner said to render is to list the taxable inventory, furniture, fixtures, machinery, equipment and other property that a business owned or managed as of January 1, 2014.
