New Hospital Services: In just the past few months, the Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center has added a new service for their cardiology patients. Called an echocardiogram, the test is  modern technology, an ultrasound of the heart. Amanda Thornton, Supervisor of Radiology Services said they have a cardiologist doctor who can read the results of the test, and have those results available within the same day, faster when needed.

Candlelight Vigil: The public is urged to attend the annual candlelight vigil honoring victims of crime and child abuse tonight at 6:30 in the Liberty Center at City Hall.

Rotary Club Clay Shoot: The Liberty Rotary Club’s Sporting Clay Shoot Fundraiser is this Saturday at the Clay Mound Sporting Center on Texaco Road in Liberty. Shooters are encouraged to bring their own shotguns and ammunition. While there will be shotguns there and some ammo for sale, the supply of both is limited. Cost to enter the event is $100.  All money raised goes to provide Rotary scholarship dollars for local graduating seniors. Drive One Success: Liberty and Hardin high school seniors had a great turnout Saturday for their fund-raiser to benefit Project Graduation. BJ Ford hosted a “Ford Drive One for Your School” event. Robert Dunn, managing partner for BJ Ford said Ford Motor Company is donating $20 per qualified driver who took a test drive. Thanks to a solid turnout, he said both schools should get their maximum donation. Mr. Dunn said a total of 375 people took a test drive Saturday in a new Ford vehicle.

ClevelandLivestock Show: The Annual Cleveland Livestock Show continues through this week at the Stancil Expo Center – formerly Stancil Park in Cleveland. Livestock judging gets under way Wednesday and continues through Friday. At 7 p.m. Friday, the Cleveland Youth Livestock Auction begins in the rodeo arena.
