Sexual Assault: Liberty County Sheriff’s Office reports a 15-year-old Liberty County boy is accused of sexually assaulting another girl, this time a 6-year-old. We reported earlier this month the unidentified teen was accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old. Sheriff’s Captain Ken DeFoor said the second victim was discovered during their investigation of the first report. The juvenile boy now faces two counts of sexual assault of a child. The 15-year-old has been released to the custody of his parents.


Prison Sentence: Lorenzo Foreman, age 25, of Liberty has been sentenced to prison on two counts of Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. He pleaded guilty back on October 29 before 253rdDistrict Judge Chap Cain. Foreman was sentenced Monday by visiting Judge Carroll Wilburn. Liberty County District Attorney Logan Pickett said testimony revealed Foreman led a group of several masked men, armed with pistols, into a young couple’s apartment back in April of last year. After ransacking the place for about an hour, he forced the couple at gunpoint to other locations to withdraw cash. Judge Wilburn sentenced Lorenzo Foreman to 30 years in prison on both counts. Those sentences will run concurrently, meaning at the same time.


Assault Arrest: Liberty County Sheriff’s Department has charged Paul Jay Riegert Jr., 24., of Baytown with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The sheriff’s department responded to a report of a man using a knife to threaten customers at Simmons Grocery in Kenefick, Wednesday afternoon. Deputies say a taser was used to subdue Paul Riegert after he refused to comply with their directives.


Standish Honored: Liberty High School junior Hudson Standish has been nominated to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, D.C. on February 14-16. The Congress is an honors-only program for high school students who aspire to be physicians or medical scientists.
