Fatality Wreck: A woman was killed in a 5 vehicle pile up on Hwy 90 at the 146 Bypass in Liberty yesterday afternoon. Liberty Police say the driver of a west bound grease truck admitted to running the red-light, striking the victims vehicle as she turned east onto 90 from the bypass.

Good Citizens: Six Liberty County high school students have been honored as Good Citizens by the Libertad Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. One student from each of Liberty County’s six high schools was elected based on dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. This year’s Good Citizens include Leroy Gary of Liberty, Haley Lambright of Dayton and Angela Welk of Tarkington. Also honored were Tulsi Dalwadi of Cleveland, Steven Ibearra of Hardin and Sarah Gobert from Hull-Daisetta High School.
