LISD Board Policies: Libertyschool trustees have adopted revised board operating procedures that now include a code of ethics for board members plus a section dealing with censure for misconduct. Although adopted yearly, trustees said the policy had not been altered in many years. The revised code focuses on Libertyschool trustee’ attitude, stewardship, conduct, integrity and service. The section on censure encourages board members to express their concerns about another member’s conduct directly to that trustee as the first step. The new board policy was adopted by the trustees with a 7-0 vote during last week’s regular monthly meeting.

Roadwork: Texas Department of Transportation crews will be working at the intersection of State Highway 146 and FM 834 in Hardin through Wednesday. According to information from Tx DOT Spokesperson Sarah Dupree, they are adding a 1 ½ inch layer of hot-mix to the road service. That work will take place today and tomorrow from 8 a.m.to 2:30 p.m.Please watch out for work crews.

TVE Youth Rodeo: This Saturday, the 2ndTVE Youth Rodeo will be held at the Trinity Valley Exposition Fairgrounds on FM 563. It’s rodeo events for kids up to age 18. It will include team roping, bull riding, goat ribbon pulling, stick horse barrels and more. For info. call Melissa Williamson at (936) 438 9059.

Payge Davie: In November last year, 11-year-old NottinghamMiddle Schoolstudent Payge Davie suffered critical injuries in an auto-pedestrian accident as she was walking to the school bus. Payge’s mother, Nancy Davie said Payge has been tutored at home since leaving the rehab facility. And now, the little girl has improved enough to return to school. She will be a student at Woodrow Wilson Junior High.
