Property Values: The Liberty County Central Appraisal District has released its 2013 Certified Taxable Values. According to Chief Appraiser Alan D. Conner, the taxable value for all properties countywide is $4.385 billion. That’s down 2.77 percent or $124.8 million from last year. Conner said much of that loss can be attributed to a 27 percent decline in mineral values. The chief appraiser said personal property values are also down, off 12.08 percent. There was also a 3.66 percent drop in industrial values across Liberty County.
