Attempted Sexual Assault: Dayton police are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a 56-year-old woman at her home on FM 1960 inside the Dayton city limits.  According to police, a woman woke Friday night to find a man standing next to her bed. She struggled with her attacker, sustaining injuries before the young man left. The woman described her attacker as a young black male, about 5’4” to 5’6” tall with a slim build. She said he was in his late teens or early 20’s, with what she called “shave bumps” all over his face. The victim was taken to a Houston hospital with facial injuries. She was treated and released and came home to stay with family.  Anyone with information is asked to call Dayton Police at (936) 258 7621.
