Child Assault Arrest: The Liberty Police Department reports former Liberty resident Eddie Shauberger was arrested in San Antonio, where he now lives, on charges from Liberty County. According to Police Chief Billy Tidwell, Shauberger was indicted by a Liberty County Grand Jury on two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Liberty Police and referred to the Liberty County District Attorney’s office in January 2008.  The indictment against Shauberger came within the last few weeks. According to police, Eddie Shauberger who has been indicted on other unrelated charges in Liberty County is being held in a San Antonio jail awaiting transport back to Liberty County.


DaytonOffering Incentive: Monday night, Dayton City Council members voted to enter into an economic development agreement to offer half-a-million dollars in incentives to the Memorial Hermann Medical System to build an urgent care center in Dayton. Dayton City Manager David Douglas said Memorial Hermann will be making a final decision on where their next multi-million dollar urgent care center will be built within the next 30 days.


Oubre to State: Dayton Bronco Matthew Oubre is headed to the state track and field meet after placing second at the Class 4-A Region 3 meet this past weekend in Huntsville in the shot put. Oubre qualified with a heave of 54 feet, 9 inches. That meet is May 10 in Austin.
