VOLUME 27, NO. 132 FRIDAY, JULY 13, 2012 Funds Consolidation: State Representative John Otto said one of the main topics of recent budget hearings at the state level is the practice of using money left over in funds dedicated to a specific use as a last minute maneuver to balance the state budget. The Dayton republican said this accounting trick has been going on for twenty years, and in the interest of transparency, needs to end. He said lawmakers will need to come up with other ways to make sure the budget is balanced as is required by state law. **************************************************** Lib-Day Chamber Lunch: The Liberty Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce’s monthly noon luncheon is Wednesday at the Liberty Center.
